In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. I am Sohaib Javed, member of the core committee of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, addressing all of you, my friends. As all of you friends know, today is the second day of a severe crackdown on peaceful protesters in Rawalakot. Reports of intermittent shelling are coming in. And tonight, even at this time, there are reports of heavy shelling in Rawalakot, and hundreds of our youths are injured, who, for mine, yours, and this Kashmiri nation's 38-point charter of demands,

had set out for its achievement. Those who are unarmed, a difficult time is upon these people right now.

Call for Muzaffarabad strike on 7 November

And in this hour of hardship, I appeal to the business community of Muzaffarabad that tomorrow, dated November 7th, keep all small and large markets in Muzaffarabad shut down and prove that you are spirited Kashmiris. My appeal also goes to all representatives of the transport union to keep their transport shut, and all the youth of Muzaffarabad, civil society, students, traders, lawyers, and my appeal to people belonging to all walks of life is that they come out of their homes against this oppression and register their protest.

God willing, I am present near Muzaffarabad city at this time. And God willing, if the trading community, transport community, and all other segments inside Muzaffarabad City show their spirit tomorrow, then God willing, I will be with you, among you, with my entire team. اور مشکل کی اس گھڑی میں مظفرآباد کی تاجر برادری سے میں یہ اپیل کرتا ہوں کہ کل مورخہ 7 نومبر کو مظفرآباد کے تمام چھوٹے بڑے بازار شٹر ڈاؤن رکھیں اور زندہ دل کشمیری ہونے کا ثبوت دیں۔ ٹرانسپورٹ یونین کے تمام نمائندگان سے بھی میری یہ اپیل ہے کہ وہ اپنی ٹرانسپورٹ کو بند رکھیں اور مظفرآباد کے جتنے بھی نوجوان، سول سوسائٹی، طلبہ، تاجر، وکلاء اور جتنے بھی، ہر مکتبہ فکر سے تعلق رکھنے والے لوگوں سے میری یہ اپیل ہے کہ وہ اس ظلم کے خلاف اپنے اپنے گھروں سے باہر نکلیں اور اپنا احتجاج ریکارڈ کروائیں۔
